HOW TO BE COMFORTABLE IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA
Be present with your babe and let all the feels out on each other
With the intention of being fully present with each other and connecting together in every moment, magic happens. Don’t worry about how you look, stress out, or tense up — if you have a great experience together, great photos will follow.
“We’re so awkward.”
— SAID EVERY COUPLE
Make a playlist
I carry around my bluetooth speaker that hooks onto my belt loop so I’ll take it with me during our shoot. I love to play tunes and move around with the music. If you have a favorite artists or you both have a go-to playlist I’d love to turn up the music.
Take a shot… or two
Go to your nearest bar or liquor store and buy some tequila shots, your fav beer, or bottle of wine to take with us to our shoot. A few minutes before we start shooting, have a drink and I promise by the time you’re in front of my camera you’ll feel very relaxed.
Don’t look at me
But really, the number one direction I tell my couples is to not to look at the camera unless you would like one looking-at-the-camera-smiling shot for the grandparents. Remember, you hired me because you want the candid, natural shots so I’m going to have you interact with each other a lot!
